What happens in a round
Baccarat is a contest between two hands — Player and Banker. Despite the name, the "Player" hand is not your own hand; it is simply one side of the table. You can bet on either side or on a Tie.

A hand totalling 8 or 9 is called a "Natural" and claims the win without needing a third card. In other cases, a third card may be dealt according to set rules. These rules are applied by the dealer — you do not need to memorise them.
At the end, the hand closest to 9 wins. If both hands are equal, it is a Tie.
